EMMY SMITH
(Emshalom Mamon)

Emmy Smith (Playwright) has been writing plays since 1973. Her play, Meat Room, was presented by Troupe Theatre; Chrystal Eve received a staged reading at the Martin Steinberg Center; and nine of her one-acts were produced by Theatre 81 of Richmond College. A full-length play, The Dry Sands of Elephant Lucy, was a semi-finalist in The Berman Playwriting Award in 1982. More recent plays include the one-act Splattered Fortunes produced by Wings Theatre and the stage reading of Starcrossed at H. B. Studio. Ms. Smith is a graduate of Richmond College. She studied painting at the Philadelphia College of Art and playwriting with Bill Packard at H. B. Studio.
