TED LEIBOWITZ

A man who's theater career started in Elementary School with a walk-on, non-speaking role as a Carrot, through today, still having "not spoken a word" on stage, he is about to implode, opps, explode, upon the theater as a Talking, opps, "Top Banana", or whatever.

With a degree and a short career in Aeronautical Engineering, and a long practice as a Tax Accountant, it was but a small step to Broadway, Started with writing a play, still unfinished almost forty years later, to playwriting and acting classes at HB Studios to whipping together, with legal help of course, a Limited Partnetship Agree, for a top notch Theater Company, 29th Street Rep, for an Off-Broadway production 12 years ago, I feel that I have paid my dues, however little, to be entering a new phase of life as a Founding Member, a silent one the other members would hope, of a new Theater Company destined to make it's mark.

Having been involved with 29th Street Rep as a moderate supporter and helper wherever needed for all these years, and also knowing many members of the theater community through the Broadway Show League, it was just a matter of time before I became more involved. My credentials are that of "Bloom", hopefully not getting caught, and an interest in the Art of Theater in whatever capacity I can be addition to said art. I was fortunate to know Leo Farley, a Founding Member of 29th Street Rep all these years, a was suprisingly asked to join with him, and Rhoda Cosme, to found this new company. My credentials may be somewhat different than most traditional entrances to the theater, then again, there have been many with late entrances to theatrical life form many untraditional directions.
